The church of St Giles was built in the 12th century as part of the Hospital of St Giles founded in 1112. The chancel was built in the late 12th century and the tower in the early 13th century (but altered in the 15th century). There were late 19th century alterations. In chancel wood effigy of John Heath of Kepier, died 1591, in armour. Porch contains fragment of a medieval grave-cover. It is a Grade I Listed Building protected by law.
