St. Michael's Church, Heighington (Heighington)

This is a listed building. The tower, nave and chancel originally date back to pre-conquest times. Around 1160-70 the chancel was rebuilt and a third stage to the tower added. Also, the vestry was added during the 13th century as was the chantry chapel which was extended during the 14th century. During the 15th century a parapet was added and restoration work was done around 1840. The doorway is probably 19th century in date.

The church and churchyard contain a number of features dedicated as war memorials (1-2).
