25 Elvet Bridge, Durham City (Durham City)
There has been occupation at 25 Elvet Bridge since the 12th or 13th century. During the 14th century, the pile of earlier rubbish was built on and an oven and hearth were created. From this point, the site was used primarily for commercial reasons with more industrial processes suggested by the presence of slag. The building was continuously adapted for different uses. The current building was built in the late 18th century. It is a Grade II Listed Building protected by law.
