Framwellgate Bridge
Framwellgate Bridge
Framwellgate Bridge is an early fifteenth century replacement of an earlier twelfth century bridge. The original twelfth century bridge was commissioned by Randulf Flambard (2). It was widened in the early nineteenth century. The bridge consists of two flat arches a third arch possibly dating form the 12th century is possibly hidden by latter buildings. This is a Grade I Listed Building protected by law. It is also a Grade II Listed Building protected by law.
