18 Elvet Bridge, Durham City (Durham City)
This building, 18 Elvet Bridge, includes the House of Correction, the medieval prison of Durham, in its cellar. The cells are built into the arches of the bridge. The main building was built in about 1632. This is a Grade I Listed Building protected by law.
