The Church of St. Cuthbert was built in 1858-63 by E.R. Robson. Coursed squared sandstone with ashlar plinth and dressings; dark slate roof with diaper patterns in light slate. Early English style with French influence.

The church contains a number of features dedicated as war memorials as well as a memorial Lych Gate in the churchyard (1-2).

It is a Grade II Listed Building protected by law.
