Inside the church is a gothic organ which dates to 1907 and a large raised font which is an octagonal bowl on a pedestal with four shafts made of Frosterly, Devonian and white marble. The font commemorates Queen Victoria's golden jubilee. There are several commemorative monuments inside the church including a perpendicular-style font covered inscribed to T. Duncombe Eden who died in 1899; some seventeenth century heraldic slaps to members of the Tempest and Ripon families; white marble mourning figure and sarcophagus with portrait medallion, on north aisle wall dedicated to Dorothea Melden Eden, by Bedford of London and a broken column in south aisle to George Rippon by Jopling of Newcastle.
The church also contains a number of features dedicated as war memorials.
St Margaret's Church is a grade II listed building.
