Chapel of Nun Stainton AKA Nunstainton, Bradbury (Bradbury)

Benedictine cell and chapel at Nunstainton, Bradbury. This has been described as a cell of Nun Monkton from a passage in the confirmation of Bishop Hugh (AD1154-95). "The Nuns and their men of Stainton shall enjoy the said chapel", but it is doubtful that nuns were ever resident here. John De Amundeville, who witnessed charters between 1165 and 1185, can probably be identified as the founder of the chapel of Nun Stainton.
