Site Details

Heighington, Shackleton Beacon (Heighington)

A gazebo was built on the top of the hillfort at Shackleton Beacon around 1794. It was probably converted from an 18th century windmill. The ruined remains of the site survive with some details of windows and plaster still to be seen.
