Ferryhill, Dean and Chapter Colliery © DCC 2007
This is the site of Dean and Chapter Colliery. The site has now been demolished and there are no remains to be seen.

A Twentieth Century colliery is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs, centred at NZ 279 333. The feature covers an area of approximately 41 hectares and has destroyed some post medieval narrow ridge and furrow. The colliery had been levelled by later 1989 OS vertical photography. (4)
