This sandstone boulder has a number of prehistoric cup marks carved onto it. The panel stands on the bank of an enclosure (D1012). The majority of these depressions were probably carved in the Early Bronze Age or Late Neolithic, although some depressions may be solution or bullet holes. The purpose of these carvings is not clear though they may have had a religious function. This is a Scheduled Monument protected by law (1).
