Framwellgate Moor, Priory Mill (Framwellgate Moor)

The remains of a medieval (AD1066 to 1540) water mill can be seen at this site. The farmhouse, which was connected to the mill, can still be seen and the foundations of the mill itself stand by the riverside. The remains of a dam are also visible when the water is low.
