Bronze Age round barrow, Croup Hill, Murton (Murton)

Croup Hill, Murton (County Durham)
This low mound on Croup Hill is the remains of a Bronze Age round barrow. When archaeologists excavated this site they found a cremation covered with charcoal. A flint knife, a scraper and some flint flakes were found with this burial.
