The parish church stands on the high ground on the south west of the village. It was built in the 12th century, though most of the windows are modern.

Mentioned in 1146, 13th century aisles, north porch and extension of chancel. The north aisle was rebuilt in 1802 and the church was restored in 1842-6.

MEMORIALS: marble plaque dedicated to former Sunday School teacher of the church who was killed in the First World War.
