Old Cassop Shrunken Medieval Village, Cassop (Cassop)

Aerial photographs of Old Cassop show some earthworks which mark the site of a shrunken medieval village and some which are the remains of later farm buildings.

Shrunken Medieval settlement. The remains of a lynchet system are visible as earthworks on air photographs. The lynchets are situated on the north facing slope at the north of the settlement.
