Many cup marks are carved onto this flat stone on the south bank of a small stream. These carvings were probably created in the Early Bronze Age or Late Neolithic. The purpose of these carvings is not clear though they may have had a religious function. This is a Scheduled Monument protected by law (1).

A cup marked rock situated on Barningham Moor, in the area known as Washbeck Green. The rock art decorates a flat slab which is roughly triangular in form, 1.2 metres north to south by 1.27 metres transversely, and 0.35 metres thick. Its upper surface is decorated with approximately 35 cup marks (8).
