Jenny's Lantern folly buildings (Hedgeley)
These folly buildings are of the Post Medieval period; there are number of large estates - Hulne Park, Broome Park, Shawdon Hall - in the immediate area. Such buildings are typical of both the period and the larger estates. Follies possess no real function; they were often built to imitate the past of the area with false battlements acting as eyecatchers for the wealthy landowners. This is a Grade II Listed Building.
