Townfoot (Elsdon)
Townfoot Farmhouse may have the remains of a bastle at its core. One part of the building has the characteristics of a bastle, including walls built of massive masonry blocks, a loop, and a wall about one metre thick. The rest of the building was built in the early 18th century and 19th century. This is a Grade II Listed Building protected by law.
