Roman bronze vessel found near Wanney Crags (Kirkwhelpington; Corsenside)

A Roman bronze vessel (illustration shows a skillet) was found before August 1885 above Risingham near Wanney Crags (NY 930833) by the Rev T Stephen, vicar of Horsley-on-Rede and retained by him. It lay in the bed of a stream which rises at the foot of the crag and runs northwards. (1)
