Shellbraes Lime kiln (Whittington)

These are the remains of an early 19th century stone lime kiln. (1-2)

A post medieval lime kiln is visible as a structure on air photographs at NZ 0014 7183. The feature is extant on the latest 1980 Ordnance Survey vertical photography. (3a)

General association with HER 10349 (limestone quarry). (3)
