Wester Hall was built by William Smith in 1730. Only a door lintel with his name and date remain incorporated into the 19th century house which replaced it. The walled garden of the 18th century house doesn't survive but a garden house does. It is of baroque style and as such is rare in Northumberland. (See HER 21526). (1)(2)

Garden wall and attached outbuildings to west of Wester Hall (18th century with later alterations); the lodge with attached gatepiers and railings at entrance to Wester Hall (early 19th century with 18th century fabric incorporated in lodge); summer house/dovecote 75m south of Wester Hall (early 18th century) (see HER 21526). All grade II listed buildings. (3)

A series of bee boles are located in the gardens of Wester Hall within Humshaugh parish. The seven recesses are rectangular recesses of stone in the outbuilding walls with four facing S and 3 facing E within the stone wall of 1732 to 1840 date. The bee boles are in a good condition. The boles have been recorded in 1958, 1998 when noted in a good condition and 2012. The boles had doors or flaps hinged at the top for the S facing set, but not the E facing set. Two of the boles, one in the S facing set and one in the E facing set. (4)
