Halfway House lime kiln (Humshaugh)

Limekiln in field near crossroads. The front wall is in good condition, the rest is completely overgrown and hidden from view. Two draw arches, pointed and corbelled, with two eyes per arch. One pot, filled with rubble. Constructed of stone blocks. (1)

Limekiln 30m north of junction with road to Lincoln Hill, Grade II. Probably early 19th century. Coursed stone. Pair of gable-headed drawing arches corbelled to small square eyes. Pot inaccessible due to vegetation. (2)

A post medieval lime kiln is visible as a structure on air photographs at NY 9134 7140. (3)
