This farmhouse is a converted bastle and dates back to the late 16th or early 17th century. The oldest part of the house measures 10.9m long by 6m wide and has thick end walls. The side walls seem to have been rebuilt in the 18th century. When renovations were carried out here before 1984 a doorway is said to have been found that was probably the original bastle entrance.
