Old Peacock House (Hexhamshire and District)
This old farmhouse was abandoned in the early 20th century and a new one built nearby. All that survives are the outlines of the walls covered in turf. The building measures about 8.85m long by 5.9m wide and the south wall measures nearly one metre thick. It has been suggested that it may be the ruins of a late 16th or early 17th century bastle.
