Turf House Farmhouse (Hexhamshire and District)
This is an early 18th century farmhouse. However, a survey of the building in the 1990s traced the earliest documentary reference to a building here to 1547. The survey also found that there may have been as many as five separate phases of development at the farmhouse and although no part of the building can be dated before about 1700 there are hints of an earlier phase. This is a Grade II Listed Building protected by law.
