Yatesfield (Rochester and Byrness)

The earliest record of Yatesfield is in a survey of 1604. The name is also recorded in the Elsdon Parish Registers from 1673 to 1792 and in 19th century census returns. The farmhouse that stands here today is mid-19th century but it does have a reused 17th century lintel over the back door.
