Bronze Age axe head found north of Hare Cairn (Otterburn)
A bronze winged axe 6-1/2 inches long with unusually large flanges and scarcely any trace of stop ridges was found in a drain 16 inches deep near a shepherd's house called Branshaw in 1886. In Blackgate Museum. (1)
