Estate or farm boundary stones (Rochester and Byrness)
Five boundary stone are marked on the first edition (6 inch) Ordnance Survey map between Ridley Crag and Ballyardley Hill. They were set up sometime between 1770 and 1850 to mark the boundary of an estate or farm and were all located during fieldwork in the 1970s. They are inscribed with the letters R/S for Rochester/Stewart Shiels.
