Birdhope Mill (Rochester and Byrness)

A corn mill once stood on the west bank of the Sills Burn at Birdhope. It is recorded in the 18th century Elsdon Parish Registers but is not shown on two early 19th century maps. The site of the mill had disappeared by the late 19th century and only the old mill race can now be seen.
