Shielings: Medieval: Field clearance cairns: Unclassified NY 803977. (1)
Centred at NY 80259777 are the turf-covered footings of a building about 20m by 6m with a small pen 5m square about 50m to the south-west and another similar about 400m due east. They are surrounded by modern turf-covered walls and banks. About 250m north-east several low piles of stones are probably the result of modern field clearance. The whole is probably the remains of a small farmstead of 17th/18th century date. (2)
