Built in 1848 with funds from Mr Beaumont from an idea of his chief agent Mr Sopwith. In 1878 it became a Board School, and in 1903 a Council school. It closed in 1968 and later converted to two dwellings. It is a rectangular single-storey building with a classroom at each end accessed from a boys' end and a girls' end, with a head teacher's house in the centre. A bell tower stands from the roof. (4)
