Bronze Axe (Carham)
[Marginal] A decorated bronze axe, classified as Early or Middle Bronze Age, was found near Cornhill by Mr J.V. Lindsay, Cornhill Farm, on October 8th, 1945, and subsequently donated to the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland, Edinburgh. (1)
A surface find at approximately NT 85433861. (2)
From Cornhill Farm, a bronze flat axe 5 3/4 inches long and a flat sandstone pebble with an hour-glass perforation, and an earthenware stopper(?) found by J V Lindsay [same as above?]. Presented to National Museum of Scotland in 1945. (3)
