Hawkhope lime kiln, Falstone Forest (Falstone)

The remains of a post-medieval lime kiln were recorded near Hawkhope in the 1970s. At that time the kiln had partly collapsed but the remains of three draw arches and at least one pot could be seen. Around the kiln was a large amount of coal, possibly remnants of its last firing.
