Bardon Mill corn mill (Henshaw)

The remains of an old corn mill stand in Bardon Mill, although it has now been converted for other uses. For example, it has been a blanket mill and a pipe and drain factory. Originally, the corn mill was powered by a waterwheel with two pairs of millstones. There was also a kiln and a mill pond in a field to the north, with a tail race down to the River Tyne. (1)(2)(3)

Recorded by NRIM, photographed. (4a)
