The milestone is not in situ. Horsley refers to it 'lying under the hedge near the rivulet' [NY 77116648]. Scheduled. (2-4)

Resurveyed at NY 77186648. See G.P. AO/66c/6. (5)

NY 77186649. Cylindrical milestone, in original spot on Stanegate c.110 yards east of Vindolanda. One Roman mile east of Smith's Shield milestone [NY 76 NE 27]. No inscription. Slight damage at top. Probably local sandstone. (6)
