Lime kiln (dis). (1)

Lime kiln in good condition. One round-headed draw arch with one eye - fallen away. One rectangular pot, empty. Drystone construction. (2)

Stands at the east side of a minor road, and pre-dates the roadside wall which abuts it. The kiln is of drystone construction, about 3m high. There is a single rounded draw arch, with a single partly collapsed eye. The kiln is partly collapsed at the north corner, but otherwise largely intact. Oval pot of about 3m diameter in particularly good condition; stone-lined and visible to a depth of almost 2m. A small hole, about 0.15m square, south of the arch in the face of the kiln. North of the kiln is a small rock cut at the roadside, whose function is unclear. (3)

Marked as an old quarry on 2nd edn 6" map. (4b)
