Shieling west of Paddaburn Crags (Tarset with Greystead)
NY 64757897. Remains of a Shieling (89) 20-3/4ft by 9-1/2ft with walls 2ft high in places. (1)
NY 64757892. Set on a small level terrace with a steep drop to a stream on its south west side are the remains of a shieling 6m north-south by 2.7m transversely between the centres of a stone wall 0.5m wide and still erect to 0.8m in the south east corner. The wall is made of large stone blocks easily available from the slopes of Paddaburn Crags rising steeply to the north east. The north end of the shieling is rounded and it has a conifer tree growing inside it. There is no trace of an entrance. Surveyed at 1:10,000. (2)
