Kellah Burn settlement remains (Hartleyburn)
Survey and excavation near Kellah Burn in the 1990s found a number of archaeological features. One part of the excavation has discovered a probable Bronze Age enclosed cremation cemetery. This comprised an enclosure with small C-shaped structures nearby. When one of these was excavated a platform of rounded cobbles was uncovered with a pit in the centre and a stone wall on the north side. The pit contained a Bronze Age pottery urn and a decorated stone.
