Burnstones railway viaduct
NY 676543. Burnstones Viaduct, a stone-built double-skew viaduct on the Alston branch of Newcastle and Carlisle railway, built 1852. (The viaduct is shown but not described at NY 67535435 on OS 6 inch 1957). Recommended as Grade II. (1)

Burnstones Railway Viaduct (over the A689 and the Thinhope Burn). Grade II listed building. 1852, probably by Sir George Barclay-Bruce. (2)

Ununusal bridge described; railway viaduct over the road (A689) and the Thinhope Beck skewed in two directions. (3)
