Eals Bridge (over the South Tyne). Grade II listed building. Probably late 18th century, altered, widened 1973. (1)

The bridge crossing at Eals has been rebuilt and repaired many times. A timber bridge is recorded here in 1709 and was replaced sometime after 1765 by a stone bridge with two arches, possibly built by Joseph Railton. Floods in 1771 destroyed this bridge. In 1784, the bridge became the responsibility of the Northumberland Justices. The bridge was rebuilt and destroyed again in 1815. (2)
