Waggon Way (Amble; Hauxley)
A waggonway was built between Amble Coal Depot and Radcliffe Colliery. Wagonways were tracks with rails of wood or iron for moving wagons of coal easily. They were usually built in the 19th or early 20th century, but some are earlier. Nothing survives of this example. It is known only from written records.
