Warkworth Harbour (Amble)
The harbour at Warkworth, at the mouth of the River Coquet, was built in the 19th century. Coal and barley used to be exported. It was also used as a base for fishing boats. In the 20th century fewer goods were exported, and many of the wooden staiths and jetties have been demolished.
