Stone Axe (Holy Island)

A neolithic whetstone adze found in the Bishop's Palace Garden, Holy Island, in 1926. Presented to the Society of Antiquaries Newcastle, by Mr G Watson in July 1926. (1)

Local information is that Bishop's Palace Garden (name has no apparent significance) is centred NU 12764195. Mr G Watson is deceased. (2)
