Earthwork remains of a Romano-British enclosed settlement (Alwinton)

NT858131. A small well preserved settlement, probably Romano-British, consisting of two or more house sites and forecourt enclosed within a substantial bank and ditch, in places at least 1.1m deep. (1)

Fragment of coarse native pottery found on Mole Hill. (2)
