Doxford Farm (Newton-by-the-Sea)
Planned farmbuilding group, dated 1825. long east-west range has central T-plan barn, with watermill on west of rear wing; from this ranges run south to enclose 3 yards. East end of main range demolished; outer east range (q.v.) now a separate block. An unusually early and extensive group of planned farmbuildings.
Dovecote with attached farmbuilding and cartsheds. 1825 incorporating earlier fabric. Smithy and cartsheds, part of (and originally integral with) planned farmbuilding complex, 1825. (see HER 14302, 14303 and 14304. (1)
The farm steading was built in 1825, but this did not include the adjacent farmhouse. (2)
