Osberwic deserted medieval village (Adderstone with Lucker)

House platforms and outlines of buildings, surrounded by ridge and furrow cultivation, have been discovered on aerial photographs taken in 1991. The earthworks lie in a field called Rosebury Fold and it has been suggested that they are the remains of a former settlement called Osberwic. This settlement is documented in the 13th century and was abandoned before AD 1230.
