Bronze axe found at Acton (Felton)

In 1886, in deepening a pond at Acton, a flanged axe with a side loop was found. It is 6-3/4 inches long and 2 inches wide at its cutting edge. It is unfinished from the mould and has never been sharpened, or had the lines, caused by the metal running into the joining of the two sides of the mould, removed. Now in the possession of the Rev William Greenwell. (1)
