Axe hammer found near Swarland (Felton)
[Marginal] Stone axe hammer found between Swarland Hall [NU 16250317] and Newton Hall, Felton [NU 16830475]. Donated to Museum of Society of Antiquaries, Newcastle by Mr A R Robson of Swarland in July 1944. (1)
[NU 16560407] This axe hammer was found in a field to the east of Chesterhill some time during the war. [An approximate site indicated by Mr Robson]. (2)
Bronze Age axe hammer found near Felton. Donor Mr A R Robson. Acc No 1944.9. [This perforated axe hammer, of rather rough workmanship, is 6-1/2 inches long, with a maximum width of 4 inches. In Case 5]. (3)
