[NU 15530228] Two cists found. (1)
Two cists were found when digging for sand at the edge of the high ground north west of Swarland Old Hall. They were found many years ago and nothing was recorded regarding their contents. [Approx site indicated to investigator]. (2)
[NU 15530228] The sand pit, now disused and overgrown is situated at the end of a spur of high ground overlooking the Swarland Burn and about 375ft above sea level. There is no trace of antiquity in the area. (3)
