18th century stone, five bay, two storeys, and three bays, two storeys. in east wing. Good doorpiece. An unusually imposing farmhouse for this district: said to have been the Manor house of the Wardle family.
Inscription over the door, T.W.M. 1717, refers to Thomas and Mary Wardle - see Northumberland County History, Vol. VII. (Not now used as a farmhouse). (2)
